more than 40 dive sites on the island, Cozumel lives up to its
reputation as one of the world's top five diving destinations.
Cozumel, in our estimates, is one of the safest and kid-friendly
dive and snorkel destinations we have visited. During my first
snorkel adventure I swam with a 6' Eagle Ray in a depth of 8'-10'
of water. For the intermediate and advanced diver there are numerous
reef dives and wall dives. The current at some of the dive sites
makes for effortless drift diving.
Fish and plant life abound in the lush, current fed waters of Cozumel.
The average water temperature of 79-83 degrees Fahrenheit and visibility
of approximately 100' make for a very pleasurable diving experience.
Diving is great year round with the warmest water and best deals
in the summer months.
